Parker, our facility director at BRX Performance, joined our team in December of 2018, coming all the way from Detroit, MI. Parker spent four years at another private sector performance facility in the metro Detroit area training hockey, baseball, lacrosse and other multi-sport athletes of all ages, from pee-wee's to pros and everything in between. Prior to Parker's experience as a head coach of the facility, he completed his B.S. in Kinesiology at Wayne State University. Parker’s training philosophy follows that of BRX's beliefs: “To hold athletes accountable for their own betterment. Making each person responsible for the quality of their movement, rather than just the quantity, allows them to have the potential for not only success in sport or training, but longevity as well.” He strives to educate every athlete he works with on the importance of their training, and doing so safely, so they can develop lifelong skills and a sense of independence.

Most recently, he has picked up tennis as his new sport of choice. He is competing and looking to get to the 4.0/4.5 level based on the NTRP rating system in the next year. In college, he developed an interest in how proper training and biomechanics can improve athletic performance, so he enrolled at Teachers College of Columbia University to pursue his master’s degree in exercise physiology, and graduated in 2016.
